The Know Thy Heritage (KTH) DMV Chapter (Washington, Maryland, and Virginia) officially launched its activities with a gathering of over 15 KTH alumni and their friends. The alumni, spanning generations from 2011 to 2023, all share the unique experience of visiting their homeland, Palestine. Know Thy Heritage (KTH) is a leadership initiative dedicated to exploring and serving Palestine. Its primary mission is to empower the Palestinian diaspora by deepening their understanding and appreciation of Palestinian identity, culture, history, and traditions. KTH boasts 450+ alumni from 25+ countries across five continents.
The inaugural DMV event was a delightful gathering, offering a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and build new relationships. United by a shared passion for Palestine, attendees engaged in intimate conversations about their experiences with the KTH initiative, discussed career ambitions, and explored networking opportunities. They also brainstormed creative partnerships to further disseminate the KTH mission, making the event both enjoyable and productive.
With expertise in advocacy, finance, law, engineering, medicine, communications, and IT, the Palestinian diaspora members are uniquely positioned to contribute to our mission. Through collaboration and strategic partnerships, they aim to harness this diverse talent pool to drive positive change and prosperity for Palestinians worldwide, building a brighter future rooted in unity and resilience.
KTH chapters are also forming in Chile and New York/New Jersey.
