Despite the Genocide, the Children of Gaza Celebrate Eid al-Fitr

In the midst of unimaginable hardship, the resilience of Gaza’s children shines through. Despite the ongoing genocide and humanitarian crisis, Know Thy Heritage (KTH), Buteekh, and Haya joined forces to bring joy and relief to Gaza’s families this Eid al-Fitr.

Through their combined efforts, the organizations distributed toys to children and hosted celebratory events, offering moments of happiness and hope. In addition, 150 food parcels were provided to families in need, with each parcel sustaining a household of six for two weeks.

“Even in the darkest times, the spirit of Eid must be kept alive,” said Rateb Rabie, president and CEO of KTH. “These children deserve to smile, and these families deserve support.”

Mahmoud Sarhan, President of Buteekh, affirmed, “Our Palestinian children are just as precious as any other children of God. They deserve to celebrate Eid with joy, just like children around the world. This is our unwavering commitment—to bring them moments of happiness and hope, even in the face of hardship.”.

This initiative is part of an ongoing commitment to provide humanitarian relief to Gaza, where families continue to suffer from severe shortages of food, water, and medical supplies.

We call on the global community to stand with Gaza. Every donation makes a difference.
