Diaspora Palestinian Family Homecoming 2020

Through this Homecoming Journey, you will reconnect with your past and rediscover your heritage. This journey is about you and your history. It is about coming home that you belong to. Join us as we explore the land of our ancestors and the spiritual and historic sites, but more importantly, you will connect with the people—your Palestinian family. 


 

Day 1- Friday, July 10- Arrival in Amman

Our program will begin at our hotel in Amman with check in and meet and greet Dinner. Overnight in Amman.

Day 2 – Saturday, July 11 – Jericho/Ramallah

After an early breakfast, we will proceed to the King Hussein border crossing to enter Palestine.

All visitors should check in at Hotel in Ramallah by 5:00 pm. Visitors who are flying directly they can check in the hotel in Ramallah. Dinner and Overnight in Ramallah

 

 

Day 3 – Sunday July 12 – Ramallah

After Breakfast, we will drive to Ramallah and visit the Memorial of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, then proceed to the National Museum and meet with local officials. After lunch in Birzeit, we will have a tour of the
Rawabi planned community Dinner and Overnight in Ramallah.

 

Day 4 – Monday, July 13 – Bethlehem

After early breakfast, we will stop by Khirbet Al Najjar in the Cremisan Valley, where we will see the expansion of settlement and their effect on Bethlehem. Continue to, we will have a tour of Nativity Church and free time? shopping in Bethlehem’s Old City. Dinner and Overnight in Ramallah.

 

Day 5 – Tuesday, July 14 – Jerusalem

After breakfast, we go in to Jerusalem for a visit to the Dome of the Rock, Al Aqsa and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We will then walk through the narrow alleys and bazaars of the Old City to enjoy and tour the old city of Jerusalem, and we will meet with some of the local citizens. Dinner and overnight in Ramallah.

 

Day 6 – Wednesday, July 15 – Hebron

This morning after breakfast, we will drive to Hebron to visit the Abraham Mosque. Then we will have a tour in the Old City of Hebron and also visit some of the factories in the city, including the well-known ceramic and glass factories. Dinner and Overnight in Ramallah.

 

Day 7 – Thursday, July 16 – Nablus/Nazareth

After breakfast, we will drive to the town of Nablus (Neapolis) which was founded in 72 AD by the Flavian Emperors as part of the Roman dynasty, built on the northern slope of Mount Gerizim. We will visit Jacob’s Well and take a tour of Nablus’ Old City.

After lunch continue to Nazareth where we will visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, and the White Mosque near the old market. Dinner and Overnight in Nazareth.

Day 8 – Friday, July 17 – Haifa/Acre/Jaffa

We will visit Acre on the Mediterranean coast, continually inhabited since the Bronze Age. We will continue to Haifa, third-largest city and an active port for international trade the Bahá’í Shrine and Gardens, Drive to Jaffa and tour the old city on the way to Ramallah, Dinner and overnight in Ramallah.

 

Day 9 – Saturday, July 18 – Diaspora Conference

Today we will take part in the Palestine Diaspora Conference with the 2020 Know Thy Heritage Delegation. Dinner and Overnight in Ramallah.

 

Day 10 – Sunday, July 19 – Bethlehem/Jericho

After breakfast, we will drive for a visit to Solomon Pools. The three legendary pools, a Water source for Jerusalem in ancient times, lie surrounded by a forest of pine trees. Proceed to Jericho, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth  we will tour in the old city, after lunch in Jericho we will visit the Dead Sea and enjoy a float. Back to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 11 – Monday, July 20 – Depart to Amman

After a breakfast, we will proceed to the King Hussein Bridge Border Crossing and return to Jordan.
